1. About VSI

Vidya Setu Institute provides educational guidance and academic support intended to help PhD aspirants, researchers, students, and working professionals make informed decisions during their research journey. Depending on the service selected, support may include university-selection guidance, research-topic selection, research-gap identification, proposal and synopsis guidance, research-methodology guidance, publication and journal-selection guidance, thesis planning, presentation/PPT guidance, viva preparation, and related academic consultation.

2. Eligibility and User Responsibility

• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when communicating with VSI.
• You are responsible for ensuring that you meet the admission, eligibility, registration, and other requirements of the university, institution, journal, conference, or other third party concerned.
• You must use VSI services only for lawful and legitimate educational or research purposes.
• You are responsible for reviewing information supplied to you and making your own academic and institutional decisions.
• If you are using our services on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

3. Nature of Our Services

VSI provides guidance, consultation, mentoring, research-support, and related educational services. The exact scope, deliverables, number of sessions, timelines, revisions, communication channels, and other inclusions will depend on the service selected and any written quotation, proposal, invoice, or service confirmation issued by VSI.

Our services are intended to support your academic process. VSI does not act as a university, degree-awarding institution, accreditation body, journal, publisher, or examination authority unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

4. No Guarantee of Academic Outcome

VSI does not guarantee admission to any university or programme, acceptance of a research proposal, publication or acceptance of a paper by any journal or conference, award of a degree, successful completion of a PhD, approval by a supervisor or research committee, examination results, scholarship, employment outcome, promotion, or any other result controlled by a third party.

Academic institutions, supervisors, journals, publishers, conferences, examination committees, and other third parties independently determine their requirements and decisions. Any timelines or outcomes discussed during consultation are estimates or guidance unless expressly confirmed in writing.

5. Academic Integrity and Ethical Use

VSI expects all users to comply with applicable academic-integrity and research-ethics requirements. Our services should not be used to facilitate plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of research data, misrepresentation of authorship, impersonation, cheating, manipulation of academic records, or other academic misconduct.

• The user remains responsible for the originality, accuracy, authorship, citations, data, analysis, and final submission of their academic work.
• Where guidance, editing, formatting, feedback, or research-support is provided, the user must review and appropriately use the material in accordance with the rules of their institution.
• VSI may refuse or discontinue a request that appears intended to facilitate academic misconduct or unlawful activity.

6. User-Submitted Information and Materials

• You may provide documents or information such as academic qualifications, research ideas, drafts, datasets, manuscripts, university communications, or other materials for the purpose of receiving services. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to share such materials with VSI.
• You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your original documents and data. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, VSI is not responsible for loss, corruption, or unavailability of user-owned files.

7. Fees, Payments, and Taxes

Service fees will be communicated through the applicable quotation, invoice, payment page, proposal, or other written communication. A service may commence only after the required payment or advance payment has been received and verified.

• Prices may vary depending on the scope, complexity, duration, and custom requirements of the service.
• Applicable taxes or government charges, where legally applicable, may be additional unless expressly included in the quoted price.
• The user must provide correct payment and billing information.
• VSI may suspend or delay services where a required payment remains unpaid.

8. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund eligibility will be governed by the specific service terms and VSI’s applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy, if separately published or provided to the customer.

• Where a service involves customised work, reserved consultation time, completed research-support work, digital deliverables, or third-party charges, the applicable refund terms may differ. Users should review the applicable service-specific terms before making payment.
• Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

9. Service Timelines and Communication

VSI will make reasonable efforts to deliver services within the timeline communicated for the applicable service. Timelines may be affected by the user’s delayed responses, incomplete information, revisions, changes in requirements, university or journal schedules, or circumstances outside VSI’s reasonable control.

Users are responsible for checking their email, phone, messaging applications, and other communication channels provided to VSI and for responding within a reasonable time when action is required.

10. Revisions and Scope Changes

• Where revisions are included in a service package, they will be limited to the scope and number specified in the applicable service description or written confirmation. Requests that materially change the original scope may be treated as additional work and may require additional fees or a revised timeline.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

VSI may refer users to or provide information about universities, journals, publishers, conferences, software, websites, payment providers, or other third-party services. Such third parties operate independently and may have their own terms, fees, policies, eligibility requirements, and privacy practices.

VSI does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, content, policies, decisions, fees, security, or performance.

12. Website Content and Accuracy

We aim to keep website information reasonably accurate and current; however, university requirements, admission dates, journal policies, fees, academic regulations, and other external information may change. Users should verify important requirements directly with the relevant institution or authority before relying on them.

13. Intellectual Property

• Unless otherwise stated in writing, the VSI website, branding, text, graphics, original educational resources, templates, designs, videos, and other VSI-created materials are owned by or licensed to VSI and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
• You may use materials supplied to you for your own legitimate academic or personal use, subject to the applicable service terms.
• You may not reproduce, resell, publish, distribute, or publicly republish VSI-owned materials without prior written permission.
• User-owned materials remain the property of the user or relevant rights holder, subject to any licence necessary for VSI to provide the agreed service.

14. Confidentiality

VSI will use reasonable measures to protect information shared for the purpose of providing services, subject to applicable law and the limitations of electronic communication and third-party platforms.

Confidentiality obligations may be subject to disclosures required by law, court order, regulatory authority, or other lawful process.

17. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VSI provides guidance and informational services on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not represent that the website or every service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for every user or academic situation.

• Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, right, liability, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VSI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-opportunity damages arising from matters outside VSI’s reasonable control, including third-party decisions, university or journal decisions, changes in academic requirements, missed external deadlines, or outcomes resulting from information supplied incorrectly by the user.

• Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove statutory consumer rights or other non-excludable rights.

19. Force Majeure

VSI will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, internet or telecommunications failures, cyber incidents, strikes, public-health emergencies, power outages, platform failures, or other comparable events.

20. Suspension or Termination

• VSI may suspend or terminate a service or a user’s access where required for legal, security, operational, or contractual reasons, including serious or repeated breach of these Terms, non-payment, abusive conduct, fraudulent activity, or suspected academic misconduct.
• Termination will not automatically extinguish rights or obligations that by their nature are intended to survive termination.

21. Complaints and Grievance Handling
